1. Biking
Summer weather makes biking the easiest and most enjoyable activity during the summer. Biking allows you to get some fresh air while traveling to the places you need to be. Running errands, meeting up with a friend or going on your own for a ride is a simple way to stay active.

2. Swimming
Swimming, either competitively or for fun, is a great way to exercise and get tan. The summer months are extremely hot, therefore swimming in water is the best way to cool down. Grosse Pointe has multiple public pools available and our very own lake. The summer swim league is also a fun way to improve your swimming skills and compete with your friends.

3. Water Sports
Kayaking, paddle boarding, tubing or wakeboarding are just some of the water sports that are available during the summer months. Michigan is full of amazing lakes, allowing easy access to sports on the water. These sports are a great way to cool off, and are also a fun way to enjoy nature.

4. Baseball
Baseball is fun competitively, but also interesting to watch. Grosse Pointe has their own summer league and multiple fields available to play on. If you aren’t interested in playing, watching baseball can also be exciting. There are multiple Detroit Tigers’ games throughout the summer and games within the community to watch.
