AP testing
May 2-6 and May 9-13
Seniors who are taking any AP classes are testing during the weeks of May 2-6 and May 9-13. This year’s two-week testing will be in-person and testing locations will be distributed as the tests get closer. For a full schedule, check the College Board’s official website.

Mothers club night
May 5
Join the mothers club on May 5 in honoring the seniors through scholarships at Mothers Club night. Selected seniors who went through a rigorous application process will be awarded with scholarships to help with college expenses.

Prom
May 13
Prom night is on May 13. Changing tradition prom will be held on a Friday night at the Riverview Lofts. The doors will open at 7 p.m. and the night will end at 10.

Tower night
May 24
The Tower newspaper is a long-running tradition at Grosse Pointe South, and senior staff members will be honored on May 24 in the auditorium at South. Many students won MIPA awards and the publication won two Sparty awards.

South senior honors night

May 17
On May 17 at 6 p.m. South senior honors night will be held in the Auditorium at South. This event is invite-only, to recognize seniors with the highest academic achievements throughout their time at South.

Senior celebration week
May 31- June 3
The week starts with a South tradition, a Tuesday morning tailgate. Continuing through the week Wednesday afternoon is a tentatively scheduled “water war” on the field, but a confirmation for this event will be coming soon. Ending the week seniors will receive ice cream on their way out of school on Thursday and will have a clap out during school on Friday.

Senior testing week
May 31- June 3
Finals week for seniors will be from May 31 to June 3. This is the last week of classes for seniors and will take place at the same time as senior celebration week.

Graduation
June 8 (rain date 9)
Leaving south in celebration, seniors will be graduating on June 8 on Grosse Pointe South’s front lawn. If the weather does not cooperate the rain date for the event is the next day, June 9. All are welcome to attend and show support for the graduating class at 6:30 p.m.

Choir/senior solos
June 3-4- award banquet May 26 at 7
Seniors celebrating in the choir department will have their senior solo performances at south’s “Broadway” spring concert. The choir will also be celebrating on May 26 at 7 p.m. for their end-of-year banquet.
