Buzz about Homecoming Court and Royalty is always an integral part of the frenzy of homecoming week.

Seniors scrawl names of their top candidates onto the line, and eventually the names are whittled down to the top two, who are announced during Friday’s Homecoming Football game. This was the experience of Moira Hix ’22 and Colin Doyle ’22 during this year’s homecoming week.

“It was really exciting, especially because all of my friends and everyone were cheering,” Hix said. “It was a lot of good school spirit.”

Hix and Doyle, best friends, were ecstatic to be crowned together, as both could’ve ended up winning with another candidate. After being announced the winners during the game, they were walked across the field and crowned.

“It was a fun moment, especially getting to share with my dad since he got to walk me across,” Hix said. “So it was just really exhilarating and a lot of fun.”
