Best Christmas albums to wrap up 2020

Every year when Christmas rolls around, I find myself listening to Justin Bieber’s second studio album, “Under The Mistletoe.” Bieber, who’s a Canadian singer-songwriter, produced this holiday album in 2011, which includes 15 songs and totals just over 50 minutes long. The album features several well-known artists, such as Usher, Mariah Carey, Boyz II Men, Busta Rhymes, and The Band Perry.

All of the songs in this album are rhythmic and upbeat, and will easily get you in the Christmas spirit. The lyrics are happy, the different singers’ voices are calming, yet cheerful and the instruments are catchy and unique. My favorite songs are definitely “Mistletoe” and “The Christmas Song,” featuring Usher.

The overall vibe of “Mistletoe” is super upbeat, and because of that, I love to play it during my workouts in December, which makes running a lot more enjoyable. The background sounds, including the sleigh bells and snapping, make the song flow really nicely, while giving off the best Christmas vibes out of every song in this album. With its catchy beat and Bieber’s calming voice, “Mistletoe” is definitely the album standout.

My other favorite song in the album, “The Christmas Song” caught my attention right away with the soothing instruments and snapping in the beginning, making it sound bubbly and fun. Although the beginning started off pretty calm, it progresses into a catchy and rhythmic beat during the chorus, especially when Usher joins in. Having both Bieber and Usher sing together with their unique voices made the song a lot more interesting and enjoyable. I thought it couldn’t get better, but towards the end, an electric guitar was introduced, bringing the song together and hyping things up.

The rest of the songs in this album were all catchy, with none of them disappointing. I would rate this album a solid 9/10, because each song had its own unique vibe, and it was a big change from all of his other albums. I would definitely recommend listening to this entire album if you want to get into the Christmas spirit.
