Blake Farms Apple Orchard

Blake’s Apple Orchard is one of the more popular orchards people choose to go to because they have such a wide variety of activities and things to do and buy there.  Around Halloween time, they have many “haunted” attractions like a haunted hayride, a spooky 3D maze, a three-story haunted barn and a zombie paintball safari. They have seven different locations, the first being Blake’s Cider Mill and Attractions and Blake’s Big Apple in Armada.  Blake’s Almont Garden Center is located in Almont. For people over the age of 21, Blake’s Hard Cider Co. can be found in Armada. Lastly, the place with the most attractions and things to do, Blake’s Funland is also in Armada, MI. Blake’s Apple Orchard is a good option for people to go and spend their money at because they provide many different options of locations to go to, but also it has a variety of attractions and activities.

Yates Cider Mill

Yates Cider Mill is another popular orchard to visit. They also have different types of activities that people can do there like pony

rides, a petting zoo, and a river walk.  Yates also provides a cider mill tour that you can sign up for where they take you around the mill. It includes a short movie about the behind-the-scenes of the mill, and the group has an opportunity to watch the cider being made as well as tasting their treats.  Yates includes free admission and free parking meaning you don’t have to pay to get in or for parking, but you do have to bring money along to buy other things at the site.

Three Cedars Farm

Three Cedars Farm is a farther location to head to, but still has fun activities for people to do there while they visit.  Three Cedars has a U-Pick Pumpkins, a seven-acre Corn Maze, a barnyard playland where you can visit many of the storybook farm animals, hayrides and train rides, and also bonfire sites.  If you purchase a bonfire site it includes a hayride and a trip through the corn maze. You can have a maximum of 30 people, but if you have less than 30, you still have to pay the price of 30 people. Three Cedars provides information on their website about pricing for reserving spots on their farm for parties. You are able to rent out the barn and also tent packages and birthday party packages.  Although it may be a farther drive than some of the closer orchards, it is a good place to hold parties and rent places out on the property for large group events.

Plymouth Orchards and Cider Mill

Plymouth Orchards and Cider Mill is located in Plymouth and similar to almost all other orchards and cider mills, they have a have a variety of things to do, but a little less than other orchards you would visit.  They provide wagon rides, farm animals, picking pumpkins, live music, organic products and pressed fresh cider. I would recommend this orchard to older people who don’t want to be swarmed by younger children and groups of teens because other orchards such as Blake’s and Yates provide attractions that appeal more to the younger teen and kids groups.

Long Family Orchard, Farm and Cider Mill

Similar to Plymouth Orchards and Cider Mill, they provide not as many activities as other locations but they have their own things they provide.  Located in Commerce, you can grab a variety of fresh vegetables like asparagus, peas, garden vegetables and of course, apples and pumpkins. For fun, you can do the corn maze, go to the farm yard and also the play area which they advertise as “fun for all ages”.
