The top 10 things to bring to the beach

Headphones: Listening to music on the beach is one of the most relaxing things to do, but not when everyone has to hear only your music.  Bring headphones to keep the relaxed vibe for everyone.

Books/Magazines: The beach is the perfect place to relax and finally finish that book that’s been on your shelf for ages or flip through a magazine.

Sunscreen: Protecting your skin from harmful rays is extremely important.  For a whole day at the beach, you’ll want to bring an SPF 45 or 30 and apply it multiple times throughout the day.

Towel: You might want to pack a few of these so you have one to dry off with and another to lay on while you try to get that tan you’ve been wanting.

Beach umbrella: For those who want to get out of the sun for a little bit, make sure to pack an umbrella that will easily stand up in the sand.  These can be found on Amazon or eBay.

Sunglasses: Protecting your eyes is just as important as protecting your skin, so make sure you bring a good pair of sunglasses.  You might want to bring a croakie if you plan to wear your sunglasses in the water.

Portable charger:  Heat isn’t good for your phone’s battery, so make sure you pack a portable charger.  These are relatively inexpensive and can be found on websites like Amazon.

Snacks/water: Too often snack stands at beach are ridiculously expensive, so save yourself a few bucks and pack some Goldfish or fruit.  Make sure you bring a few water bottles to stay hydrated throughout the day.

Extra clothes: Bring extra shorts and a T-shirt or tank top to wear when you take a walk down the beach or for when it’s time to go.

Entertainment: Frisbees, a volleyball…many beaches will have a volleyball net to start a game, and there’s plenty of space to throw a Frisbee.
