Q: What will you be enjoying the most for Thanksgiving dinner?

A: During Thanksgiving, I eat a multitude of foods including turkey, ham, macaroni and cheese, greens, salad, green beans, mashed potatoes, gravy, dressing, sweet potato pie, pumpkin pie, apple pie and ice cream. It’s a good day.

Q: What about these foods makes you think of the holiday?

A: Well most of the foods, like turkey and dressing; things like that, you only eat during Thanksgiving so that makes me think of this food and Thanksgiving. I know i’m only going to have that food once a year during Thanksgiving with my family. I guess you could say that the family makes the food special.

Q: What kind of food do you like to eat for Thanksgiving?

A: “I like to keep it simple, I like to have a little bit of turkey, stuffing, gravy and mashed potatoes. Mashed potatoes and gravy pair together very nicely. It’s a beautiful Thanksgiving dinner.”

Q: Why are these food special during this time of year?

A: Well, you normally don’t have a whole turkey throughout the year. It’s the only time of year you get to eat the whole turkey. I get to see it and I get to carve it.

Q: Do you personally carve the turkey and prepare the food?

A: Yes, I guess you could call me the family chef. When we make the dinner, we have our turkey, we baste it and put all of our juices on it and put it in the oven for a while. Then, we make our signature mashed potatoes, which is great, and we have our signature gravy and the stuffing of course is awesome. I’d say my family is part of why I like cooking this meal because spending time with family and great food is really connecting.

Q: What about this food makes you think of Thanksgiving?

A: It’s the peak of fall and the food is very delicious. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. I like to see the whole family keep up to date on the day and drama at the dinner table.
