Google Drive: Google Drive is a great place to keep all school documents, including essays, slideshows, spreadsheets, photographs, etc. The app lets you access your work from your phone or tablet on the go. It’s really nice because if you’re late on an assignment, you can make quick edits and finish your school work wherever you are.

Quizlet: Quizlet is an app that helps you study terms and definitions. It works great for languages and straight memorization. You can make mobile flashcards and  take quizzes made for your subject based on the terms you enter into the quizlet. It also helps the environment, as the flashcards are electronic as opposed to paper flashcards.

Khan Academy: Khan Academy is a good app to help students learn and review material from their classes. It has everything from economics to grammar. It’s a great way for students who are having a hard time in some of their upper level classes to get outside help. It also helps students prepare for their AP tests and standardized tests like the SAT.

Shmoop: Shmoop is really helpful for English students, as it helps with in-depth analysis of a lot of different books that are found in classes. It helps students prepare for essay test, class discussion, and objective response tests. It also points out specific examples to backup the analysis that it provides.

Duolingo: Duolingo is specific for languages. It helps students learn vocabulary with pictures, which makes it kind of fun. The terms are pre made based on the unit you’re learning. Once you take quizzes, it tells you specifically what you need to work on. You also get points and awards when you do well, which makes learning more fun.

Oxford Dictionary: This dictionary app is great for English students. Often times, when you’re reading a book, you will come across a word that you don’t know. With this app, you can look up words as you’re reading, so you understand the text better. It also helps with essays, you can look up words to make your writing sound more mature and intelligent.
