We asked some of South’s resident bloggers their opinions on trends for the upcoming fall.

What major trends have you noticed for the upcoming Fall and Winter?

This is the year of fur and brights. When I attended New York Fashion Week last February, I saw a lot of yellow, pinks, green, and white. Gone are the days of no white after labor day, and all dull winter colors!

What is your go-to casual outfit during Fall?

If it’s cold leather pants and a cashmere sweater, if it’s warmer a black silk t-shirt dress with a vintage turquoise necklace.

How would you dress up for a Fall event?

Depending on the event I would either be found in my leather pants with a black beaded tank or a black lace slip dress with a bright suede pump for a little fun.

Favorite Fall tones?

Camel, white, poppy and hunter green.

Fall fashion necessities?

Suede heels, fur coat, cashmere sweater, leather pants. If you can’t tell I love texture.

Nail color you can’t get enough of this season?

White, it’s clean and matches everything.

What type of jewelry do you like to wear during the Fall?

I think that a nice watch matches anything, especially if it is both silver and gold. I am rarely ever caught without my vintage rolex, as it matches everything I wear.

Favorite type of outerwear?

One can never go wrong with a classic trench, khaki, black, or white, they are always appropriate. I also love wearing my Brooks Brothers black cashmere wrap for a feminine (and comfortable) twist.

Favorite boots/shoes for Winter and Fall?

A leather riding boot is a classic that everyone should have in their wardrobe, as well as a pair of suede pumps, preferable in a fun color.

Makeup essentials?

A great lipstick that makes a bold statement. Berry and oxblood colors are especially great for the fall/winter seasons.

What major trends have you noticed for the upcoming Fall and Winter?

I’ve noticed a lot of vests made out of sweater material, which adds a bit of definition to many outfits.

What is your go-to casual outfit during Fall?

Honestly, I can often be found wearing leggings during the cooler months, but I’ll dress up a casual bottom with a button up shirt. Then I’ll layer a vest on top to keep me warm.

How would you dress up for a Fall event?

I love the silhouette of a shift dress for all seasons. I would add some tights so I don’t freeze and a bright shoe.

Favorite Fall tones?

Cranberry, hunter green and gray.

Fall fashion necessities?

I am a bit cardigan-obsessed, so I love those. A stylish ankle boot and a nice bag or tote.

Nail color you can’t get enough of this season?

I love wearing navy on my nails. It is the perfect neutral, while still adding color to any outfit.

What type of jewelry do you like to wear during the Fall?

The cold months are definitely the time to wear jewelry that is a bit heavier than in the summertime. I am always one to choose a statement necklace, but when I’m just coming to school I’ll often just wear my pearls and my Alex and Ani bracelets.

Favorite type of outerwear?

I’m loving my newest J.Crew. trench, it’s the perfect weight for cool  Fall mornings.

Favorite boots/shoes for Winter and Fall?

Riding boots. Also, I’m sure my bean boots will become a favorite if they ever arrive!

Makeup essentials?

A bit of blush and a bright lip.

What major trends have you noticed for the upcoming Fall and Winter?

For Fall and Winter, the plaid and flannel are still very in-style, as for colors this Fall and Winter, hunter, olive green, orchid purple and grays.

What is your go-to casual outfit during Fall?

My casual go-to outfit for Fall would be a chunky sweater with jeans with cute flats or riding boots, anything that is super comfortable and warm!

How would you dress up for a Fall event?

For Fall events I love long sleeve dresses with riding boots, and a statement necklace, it’s super simple but very stylish and put together.

Favorite Fall tones?

My favorite Fall tones are deeper colors, again with the deep purples, and greens. I also love all of the warm Fall colors that the leaves change into; the oranges and reds, those are really easy colors to pair an outfit around.

Fall fashion necessities?

My Fall fashion necessities are a big tote bag for carrying around all of my everyday items, and a blanket scarf to keep me warm at night.

Nail color you can’t get enough of this season?

I love dark nails for Fall. Black, deep purples, and grays are the colors I tend to wear most often on my nails.

What type of jewelry do you like to wear during the Fall?

During the Fall the jewelry that I like to wear is pretty much my everyday basic jewelry, an arm party on the wrists, but I like to switch up my necklaces in the Fall time, whether it is a statement necklace or something really dainty that I can layer is what I tend to wear.

Favorite type of outerwear?

My favorite type of Fall outerwear is either a vest layered with a long sleeve underneath, an army jacket that I can leave open with a pretty shirt showing through, or if its a colder Fall night, then I tend to wear a jacket that has orange details in it, it matches the fall weather perfectly.

Favorite boots/shoes for Winter and Fall?

My favorite boots/shoes that I wear in the Winter and Fall are usually flats in the Fall, but as soon as snow hits the ground in the Winter I tend to wear more riding boots or ankle booties.

Makeup essentials?

My makeup essentials would include my everyday basic makeup, but usually I would wear a bit of a darker/warmer eye color, and then I tend to start making the transition to a darker lip color.
