Nubs Nob is located in Harbor Springs, Michigan has always been one of my favorite places in Michigan to go skiing. Nubs Nob is the perfect place to go for a short vacation. Nubs Nob includes 53 different runs that range from short in length to longer in length and from low difficulty to high difficulty. I like Nubs Nob because it is a great place to get adjusted to the area. To start they have many different levels of difficulty with many different runs that are each unique and exciting to venture on.

Crystal Mountain

Crystal Mountain is located in Thompsonville and is one of the bigger ski resorts and most popular ski resorts in Michigan. Crystal Mountain is unique to itself in that it has won many awards including best ski resort out of 15 other locations and also number one resort for family reunions. Crystal Mountain is a family friendly as it does and is available to be booked for family reunions and weddings. Crystal Mountain is larger in area as it does have 58 different runs to occupy and interest those who ski the slopes. I like Crystal Mountain because it is one of the larger locations to ski in Michigan and you really get that up-north feel when you are there.

Boyne Resorts:

The Boyne Resorts are another great location in Michigan to Ski. The Boyne Resorts are different in that they are split into two different locations and mountains to ski at. They are Boyne Highlands and Boyne Mountain. Both are family friendly places to ski. These two locations are ranked some of the most popular places to ski in Michigan for people of all ages. Boyne Mountain consists of 60 different ski trials while Boyne Highlands consists of 55 ski trails. Overall both locations are highly ranked and are great places to spend time at.

Caberfae Peaks Ski and Golf Resorts:

Caberfae Peaks Ski Resort is located in Cadillac Michigan. This resort includes 34 total trails available to skiers. These trails range from easy to high in difficulty. Besides regular trials, Caberfae also includes a Backcountry Terrain for those more daring and adventurous skiers. Caberfae has the largest lodge in northern Michigan that includes a pub. Caberfae is great for new or inexperienced skiers because it has lessons available to all ages. Caberfae also offers discounts for groups or special youth packages.

Shanty Creek: 

Shanty Creek is a ski resort that is quite family friendly. Shanty Creek is different from other ski places in that it is split into two different mountains. Schuss Mountain which contains mostly terrain parks and Summit Mountain which contains 11 different runs. What makes Shanty Creek Unique is that there are other activities that are available to do there besides skiing. If you get tired from skiing when you are there Shanty Creek also offers tubing in the snow which is really fun to do with friends or family. Shanty Creek differs from other resorts in that it has different locations and lodges that those who come to stay overnight at the resort can choose from. I like Shanty Creek because the layout of the mountain and also the trails and runs are generally very cool and different from other ski locations.
