There is nothing better than spending the afternoon or evening laughing along with and enjoying a show.

Through the remaining days of September and though October 1st, the Grosse Pointe War Memorial will be showing the well known musical Singin’ in the Rain. The show filled with wonderful sets, music, humor and costumes is the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon or a Saturday night.

Although both acts of the show are short, they are truly sweet. The characters and their personalities truly made this show as sweet and enjoyable as it was. This silly and humorous story which takes place in the 1920’s captures all the hardships and wonders of the early born movie industry. The story follows a lead actor Don Lockwood who finds out the true meaning of acting and what makes a movie truly great with a little singing, dancing, and love along the way.

The cast is also something that made this musical great. The talent that the cast had was unbelievable.

In addition, the choreography was great. There was always someone on stage to watch who was doing an impressive dance or move that was amazing and truly entertaining to watch.
This show will have you tapping your foot along with the music and humming the songs the next day. The Grosse Pointe War Memorial’s production of Singin’ in the Rain is a great rendition of the show, and a great way to spend an evening.
