10:  “Jingle All the Way” (1996)

As things start to get tense at home, workaholic Mr. Langston (Arnold Schwarzenegger) decides to make things up to his wife and son by buying him the most wanted toy of the season: Turbo-Man. His quest becomes difficult, as it is Christmas Eve and there are practically no more toys in stock. Will he get the toy and make things right with his son? Or will he learn the true meaning of Christmas? Find out through this thrilling film about the stress of the holiday season.

 

9: “Fred Claus” (2007)

When Fred Claus (Vince Vaughn), Santa’s older brother, finds himself in serious trouble with the law, saintly Santa (Paul Giamatti) bails him out and brings him up to the North Pole to work off his debt by making toys. The competitive nature of the bitter older brother and the hilarious scenes of turmoil in the work shop will leave the whole family laughing for days.

Once the stress of the season and life became too much for George Bailey (James Stewart), he wished that he was never born. An angel (Henry Travers) is sent to Earth to show George how many lives he’s touched and how different things would be if he follows through with his wish of never born. This film is definitely a tear jerker, but it’s a good film to make people realize how lucky they are and how grateful they should be, especially during the holiday season.

When a group of performers (Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney, Vera-Ellen) travel to Vermont to participate in a Christmas show, they run into the men’s commander of World War II (Dean Jagger). Upon discovering that he is struggling with money, they put together a show of their own to help raise money for him. This fun, but touching tale of friendship is perfect for the holiday season.

This classic film displays Christmas through the eyes of a young boy named Ralphie (Peter Billingsley). He and his son are magically transported to the North Pole where he is instructed to be the next Santa Clause. He brushes the “trip” off as a strange dream, until he begins gaining weight and growing a white beard. Will Scott take on the role of Santa? Or continue in his Scrooge-like ways?
